Project  EINO

In our news headline service we attempt to include stories from all corners of the country.  We are limited by the manual scanning process which we use to bring you the most interesting and relevant articles.  Not all stories have a perspective or analysis with which EINO would agree.  We try to post comments to the most objectionable and often include links to relevant EINO pages.

Most newspapers around the country only leave articles archived and freely accessible for a short amount of time.  Often they charge a high fee (often $2) for each viewing of each article (yes, equal to the cost of buying several newspapers). Public libraries still exist in much of our nation and you can find the articles we have cited if you look for the author's article in a major news dailies of the correct day (information we can supply you, if you identify the summary of interest).

By using the linking procedure, our headline service is strictly legal with regard to copyright because you read the articles at the newspapers' own sites.   The summary you read is written by us and for our own purposes, as we imagine those best serve our readers.

The headline service we run is MUCH more labor intensive for us then simply clipping articles and sending them out to a list.  It has the further distinct advantage of not crowding anyone's mailbox (just two mailings each month).  Further, with the expanded headlines we write the headlines and the news articles linked are keyword searchable from this website.

Please tell your friends about this free service!

For what its worth, we are opposed to the current copyright system for news articles on the internet. We don't understand how a democracy is supposed to function when citizens are not allowed to research news items and collect a variety of perspectives on a given issue. We do not think our nation is well served by allowing only gossip to be available on important topics (for free).
